Due to the current restrictions on events and following the latest Welsh Government guidance during the Covid 19 pandemic, the usual Remembrance Day parade and wreath laying service will not take place.
There will be a small 'by invitation only' service with members of the public not permitted to attend.

The Community Council organises the Annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the Hawarden War Memorial on behalf of the Hawarden and Ewloe Royal British Legion.
This year's Service will be held on Sunday 10th November 2019
The Service will be preceded by a parade from the Gladstone Playing Fields Car Park to the Hawarden Memorial. The Parade will assemble at Gladstone Playing Fields Car Park at 10.30am and commence at 10.40am, arriving at the Hawarden Memorial at 10.50am, where the Service and Wreath Laying will take place.
REMEMBRANCE DAY 11TH NOVEMBER
Hawarden Community Council and Broughton and Bretton Community Council
will be taking part in the “Battle’s Over – A Nation’s Tribute” – an event
which will take place at the Gladstone Playing Fields on the evening of 11th
November 2018. At 6.55 p.m. the Last
Post will be played locally and across the country. At 7.00 p.m. WWII Beacons will be lit across
the nation and at 7.05 p.m. the Church Bells at St. Deiniols and St. Marys
Church will ring out along with other churches across the nation.
Guests are requested to attend by no later than 6.30pm.
Additional car parking will be available in Hawarden High School, across the road from Gladstone Playing Fields.
